Purpose:

Forestry-2
is a tanker unit bringing 1000 gallons of water to outdoor fires, along with tools needed to fight woodland fires and the ability to "pump and roll" while operating the remote-controlled nozzle pictured here.

The truck started as a military unit with the purpose of carrying potable water to troops. It was obtained from the State of New Hampshire and fitted for forestry fire fighting by the Auburn Volunteer Fireman's Association in 1994. It is a favorite at parades and a welcome sight at remote brush fires.
