About Auburn's
Firefighter
and Rescue
Personnel:

Fifty members
of the Auburn Fire Department represent about 1 percent of Auburn's population. The department consists of both male and females aged 18 years to 65 and older who come from a wide range of occupations and backgrounds. A few are full-time firefighters while others work as construction tradesmen, office professionals, college students and in various other occupations.

Every aspect of running Auburn's Fire Department is handled by department members. We develop an annual operating budget that is approved by the town, keep up to date with national standards for fire department operations, preplan incident response, develop procedural guidelines, maintain apparatus and equipment, train, practice, and respond to emergency calls.

Auburn is a community that every member of the fire department is proud to serve and support. We are thankful the Auburn Fire Department offers us this opportunity to contribute to our town and appreciate all the recognition and support the people of Auburn have given us in return.
